Daughter of the Khan

What is worth sacrificing for freedom?

If you crave a glimpse into an exotic past, laced with danger and a tragic tale of love…

This is for you.

Nooshafarin was meant to be a boy. The eldest daughter of the Khan of the Qaradagh Mountains in 1905 Persia, an unconventional childhood prepared her for a life unbeholden to the strict societal expectations of the era. But her dreams of freedom are threatened in 1905 as war brews between the Shah and the Constitutionalists, who fight to usher in a new century with a modern vision of change that Nooshafarin embraces. Her father, fearing unrest, wants to arrange her marriage to secure her safety. As the walls of expectation close around Nooshafarin, she is forced to decide what she will sacrifice, and who she will choose to be, in a country boiling into war.
